PUBLIC HEARING: Proposed Zoning Ordinance Dec. 4th

PUBLIC HEARING New East Hanover
Township (Dauphin Co.) Zoning Ordinance

The East Hanover Township Board
of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed new East Hanover
Township Zoning Ordinance (the “Proposed Ordinance”) on Wednesday, December 4,
2019 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Building at 8848 Jonestown Rd.,
Grantville, PA.

The Proposed Ordinance would
regulate the uses of land and structures, with various standards in different
zoning districts. The Proposed Ordinance also would regulate signs, parking,
the location and height of structures, and changes to existing structures, lots
and uses that do not “conform” to the ordinance. The Proposed
Ordinance also would include enforcement and penalty provisions. The Proposed
Ordinance includes the following major components:

Zoning Districts, Allowed Uses
in Each District, Bulk & Area Requirements for Each District, Additional
Requirements for Specific Uses, Design Standards and Guidelines, Historic
Building Incentives, Environmental Protection, Off-Street Parking and Loading,
Signs, General Regulations, Administration and Enforcement, Definitions, and a
new Zoning Map.

A copy of the Proposed Ordinance
is available for review on the Township’s website, and at the Township Building
during regular business hours.

Following the December 4, 2019
Public Hearing, the Board of Supervisors may vote to adopt the Proposed
Ordinance.
